Strengthen Our Innovation, Entrepreneurship,
and Small Business Success Ecosystem

Georgia small businesses employ over 1.5 million or 44% of the total workforce. A successful economy needs more minority business success, more female entrepreneurs, more rural and student start-ups, a stronger overall scale-up rate and a Top 10 goal for early stage investments.

We can get there if we:

1. Create a greater entrepreneurial culture throughout the education pipeline

2. Establish Georgia as a leading state for industries of the future like: cybersecurity, IOT, big data, medical devices, financial technology, autonomous vehicles, and drone utilization

3. Establish Georgia as a Top 10 state for venture capital by extending the Angel Investment tax credit and increasing Invest Georgia funding

4. Improve access to capital and mentorship for entrepreneurs throughout Georgia

5. Improve the interconnectivity and access to incubators, maker-spaces, and other small business resources

6. Promote stronger diversity programs at all levels of business and entrepreneurship to keep Georgia open for business
